    Box-Opening Introduction

Upon opening the box, you will discover five key components: an instruction manual, clamps for pipeline installation, magnetic blocks for the pig, batteries, and a pig signaler.

    • Power Supply Options

There are two methods to power the instrument:

    1. Battery Powered
For the battery-powered mode, begin by flipping the instrument over to access the underside. Proceed to open the protective cover to reveal the battery box located in the center and the power selection plug positioned above. By default, the device is set to battery mode (“bat”), with the alternative being the 12-24 V DC power supply mode found on the left side.

Next, install four No. 7 batteries into the battery box. Once the batteries are in place, secure the back cover to return the instrument to its standard power supply state.

    2. DC Power Supply
To utilize the DC power supply, first mount the instrument onto the pipe. Retrieve the clamps from the box and attach them to the pipe, using a straight screwdriver to ensure they are tight and secure. You will need to install two clamps for stability. After securing the instrument to the pipeline, connect the external power if you’ve selected the DC power supply mode. Facing the display, open the right-side plug to access the four wires: red and black for power (with red being positive and black negative) and yellow and white for remote signal lines. Remove the rear cover and connect these wires to the corresponding terminals, ensuring the red plug is inserted for the 24-volt external power mode.

    • Digital Display Usage

To operate the digital display, start by pressing the select key. The first light will illuminate. Confirm your selection by pressing enter, and the current geomagnetic intensity will be displayed. Adjusting is done with the middle key; each press increases the intensity by 20 units, cycling from 0 to 240. Increase only as necessary and refer to the instructions for detailed operation.

By pressing the select key again, you can toggle to the second light, which displays the number of pig passages and the time for each occurrence. For instance, when checking the fifth passage, the corresponding time will be shown. The third light activates the clearing function, and the fourth light is for time setting, where you can adjust hours and minutes incrementally.

    • Pig-Passing Alarm Process

The instrument is initially set to the clearing state. When the pig passes for the first time, the display will show “01” along with the exact minute of passage. On the second passage, the display will update to “02” and indicate the new passing time.
